What are your most important educational and musical moments?
My sophomore year in college I went on a European tour with the MSU Glee Club.  I sing too. 

Tell us about your family.
My husband and I enjoy cooking, eating, and traveling. 

Why did you choose music?
I was very active in music.  My parents were music lovers and I grew up with it.  I was a music major in college and my first teaching job was in music in Rockford, MI.   After two years, I went back to school and got a degree in Counseling.  I was a public-school counselor for 36 years.

Why did you choose your instrument?
I started playing clarinet when I was in fifth grade.  The band director encouraged me, and I was good at it.  I played all through school.

What are you currently doing?
I freelance with a couple of music groups in Grand Rapids. 

Any non-musical interests or hobbies?
I have four grandkids in the same town, which keeps me busy!
