What are your most important educational and musical moments?
I decided to quit my computer job to continue with music.  A personal call from the graduate school admissions officer encouraged me to make that choice. 

Why did you choose music?
Music is something I really wanted to do.  It chose me!

Why did you choose your instrument?
My father had a trumpet in the house.  I played it in 4-6th grade.  In middle school the band director asked me to take a horn lesson and I was good at it!

What are you currently doing?
I have contracted orchestra work with five symphonies: Traverse City, Ann Arbor, Midland, South Bend, and Flint.

Do you have an occupation other than music?
I am a landlord and own four duplex buildings.  This enables me to financially continue with music and keeps me busy with maintenance!

Any non-musical interests or hobbies?
I am a marathon runner and have a goal to run a marathon in every state.
