Renita Johnson-Leva – Board Member

Renita was introduced to Beaver Island by her best friend of more than 24 years when he retired here. In 2024 she and her husband purchased a home on island.

Renita has developed and led Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance departments in the pharmaceutical industry specializing in biologics. She is a board member of the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Museum, served on the board of the James Renwick Alliance focusing on craft, and curates art shows as a member of a Fine Arts Committee. She avidly supports the cultural and performing arts.

She has initiated the creation of a bereavement recovery program and the reestablishment of the hospice program on the island in memory of Howard Kadison.
