Sally Rehkopf – Board Chair
For eighteen years, Sally has been coming to the Rehkopf cabin on Lake Geneserath, Beaver Island. When she’s not on the island, she and her husband Myles are in the Saugatuck area, next door to their six grandchildren.
Sally earned a Masters in Library Science from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwestern. She began her career in Chicago as a public librarian. then moved to the law firm, Kirkland & Ellis, where she spent 20 years as an administrator. In 2000, she and her business partner bought and developed Campit Campground, now the largest LGBT campground/RV resort east of the Mississippi. They also bought and managed Thousand Palms Resort, an RV park in central Florida. Sally left the day-to-day management of both businesses and sold her shares in each several years ago. She now concentrates her retirement life on BIPAA, an organization she loves.
In addition to BIPAA, Sally has served on other not-for-profit Boards, including the Beaver Island District Library and the Saugatuck LGBT Foundation.
